What I’m truly excited for is being able to use innovation and technology to design better, more meaningful learning experiences for everyone. ◾ And this morning, I was reading about Be My Eyes partnering with OpenAI to hit their goal of assisting 250 million people with visual impairments. ◾ I’ve seen ChatGPT take a scenario-based problem and added DEIJB perspectives into the design to make it more inclusive and meaningful. ◾ I’ve had robots pass me in the hallway at MIT and it was being driven by a person who couldn’t physically attend a meeting on campus, but they wanted a physical presence. We talk about designing learning experiences for everyone, commonly known as Universal Design for Learning (UDL), but what if we could take what we’ve done and crank that up several notches?

All of those are true, but where I am excited with the rise in AI is being able to serve people better. They all gave fantastic answers with storyboarding, drafting learning objectives, creating assignments, etc. Instead of answering, I posed the question to the audience. You can do this.During today’s interview, I was asked a question about where I think AI and tech will have a tremendous impact within the L&D space. "Leadership is not about you it's about inspiring, empowering, and serving in order to elevate others." ( John Eades, Building the Best, 2019) * They are willing to persevere until they achieve their goals and the company's objectives. * They believe in and work hard at execution, * They do things most aren't willing to do,

* The path they take is not easy, full of multiple highs and lows, They take a different road, a different approach Incredibly successful leaders believe in themselves and the teams within their charge. They see things in their team members that others don't. A great leader takes people where they don't necessarily want to go but ought to be." Rosalynn Carter, the former first lady and spouse of President Jimmy Carter, may have said it best, "A leader takes people where they want to go. People on a team want to work with leaders who will make them better, and this can be done with or without the organization's support. Leaders can cause our performance to be better and positively impact culture through what they do daily. They can champion efforts like this without ever being told to do so. Leaders can get their team members to collaborate, have meaningful discussions, and work with them to write effective goals that can fundamentally improve the organization. People naturally look up to those who demonstrate competency and caring, especially during difficult times. This allows them to make a difference regardless of how excellent or poor their organization is performing. Still, leaders have and carry much influence. Criticism comes with it, as leaders are easy targets for drama, politics, and gossip. It comes with the territory, and we do it at our peril. There's no shortage of scrutiny for stepping up and wanting to make a difference in the lives of others. This is the path of leadership leading others is hard work and will always be challenging, not for the faint of heart. When we assume responsibility for others and take them into our charge, our lives become an open book, our behaviors a model for people to criticize, and our words an ongoing test to determine if we're telling the truth.
